Default Heathcote 1/4 Mile Track Prep A1

How good was the Heathcote Track on Saturday - this good
1TUF65 SOHC Turbo Mustang

Friday @ Calder 1.49 60 Foot - 8.85 @158 mph

Saturday @ Heathcote 1.36 60 Foot - 8.68 Foot @ 161 mph

60 foot says it all

To be fair, Calder was only a street meet, not a race meet which Heathcote was prepped for... and watching Johns mustang on Friday night, it needed a fair bit of sorting leaving the line. the car was bouncing the rear end to about 150 ft out, which was constantly unloading the tyres.

Nah doubt it - Can't see Andra allowing Calder to cheap out on prep for an Andra Sanctioned Street Meet vs a so called Race Prepped Goat Track lol

How can you compare the 2 street meet where he was limited to 10 and only went for it on the last run or a race meet where he had a number of runs flat out.

The rear was clearly bouncing at Calder unhooking the rears.

Ok lets re-read the thread

Title - A1 Prep

1st Post - How good was Heathcote

People put a lot of hate on Heathcote - I am just stating the track prep was A1

Unhooking = loss of traction - not a sticky track

I am stating Heathcote is a good track

Now twist that anyway you like

Ps the 1st post also had the 60 foot times in BOLD lol - maybe next time I will highlight it in yellow

Nobody's putting hate on Heathcote, watching the vid, it shows the first couple of passes he blew the tyres off, so had the time to adjust the tune accordingly.

How about compare apples with apples is all I am saying.

Maybe he made some suspension adjustments as well as tune adjustments. Either way he was free to run flat out and dial in his car at Heathcote.

Hey its good to see Heathcote spending the money on track prep, if they keep up the standard they will shrug off the goat track / Heathgoat name.

Unhooking - can also = setup needs adjustment

And how on earth is that possible due to so many variables

I was stating how good Heathcote's Track Prep was

And being limited to a 10 is not a restriction for 1TUF65 as he was "free to run it flat out" at Calder in the first 1/8th same as he was at Heathcote although at Heathcote the other 1/8th is just riding it to the line WOT as the launch and change to 2nd has already been done in his 2 speed powerglide in the 1st 1/8th........

Unsure why his "unhooking" issues were not sorted at Calder as he had enough runs to fix it same as he had enough runs at Heathcote to fix it

The track prep was obviously pretty good but trying to use this comparison to prove it is not the right way to go about it unless the conditions for both runs were identical which given the locations is impossible

Wasn't a comparison - it was an example of the exact same car at both locations...........

For the Record @ Heathcote 1TUF65's time was his PB

Yep he was not impressed and wished he went to Heathcote as well.

And his comments on facebook from this weekend when he went to Adelaide for the 4, 6, Rotary and Turbo Nationals.

The wash up from Saturday.
The track didn't seem to suit a few cars and my own. No matter how much we dropped the rpm, boost, suspension settings we could not get it off the line. ( and we thought calder was bad!)
The time slip below shows 10.87@161.8 with 6.34 seconds of wheel spin!! (Courtesy of our racepack data logger)
