Default Terrible Telstar, Any Hope

Hi i'm new to this forum. currently i own a 1985 AS Telstar Ghia. It runs only on LPG as the leaded petrol tank was not filled in 2 years and subsequently dried up everything petrol. I have just got my liscense and am wondering if there is any hope for the current N/A engine to get reasonable power. i was thinking a sports carby and exhaust but thats as far as my ideas go. i figure an engine swap would be too difficult and costly due to the LPG/petrol situation. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey cheif, you're not going to any real gains that you'll notice on the road with the upgrades you mentioned. An engine conversion can be done, but you're probably better of selling the car and possibly rebuying a Telstar Turbo, or something else. Hope this helped.

Probably an engine out of MX6 turbo. With a 4cyl tho I'd sell the LPG system and just go straight petrol.
