Default self diagnostic test mode ea fairmont ghia

in the book it says to earth the grey connector (self test input) it shows a grey spade connector (input) black connector(output)& clear connector(tacho)problem is there is no grey connector the black connector has 3 wires white/black stripe black/white stripe & white/red stripe tacho wire is pink/blue stripe Can any body tell me what colour wire the self test input is

i believe (from memory) the white/red stripe wire is supposed to have a grey plug on it and someone has nicely stuck it in the big plug to confuse you
