Question Car Care

Is there a possibility of putting a car care section where we can talk about washing, polishing, waxing, tips and techniques, product recommendations.

What's everyone thoughts?

i think that it would be a great reference, but maybe rather than starting up a section just for that we can start a thread about it instead...

also, if you need some tips there are some great references on aufalcon.com - maybe if we talk nicely to those folk we can get a copy of their car care stuff on this site somewhere :hihi:

I'd like to see some of that info collated and added to the Tech area along with the rest of the tech documents.

Makes it easy for everyone to find then and never gets lost.

Cheers
Russ

Thanks mate - I am making some changes to the Car Care Article 1 - who do I credit with the content?

Cheers

Yup, I can second that, Matt has been very helpful, volenteered his time to write those articles for aufalcon.com/ff.au and, most imprtantly, can pointyou in the right direction for some of the more "upmarket" cleaning gear not seen in the usual shops.

Just re read those articles and some parts are now obsolete due to my constant research and experimentation
Maybe I should type up an updated version since my knowledge level and product range has rocketed up in the last six months
It's made my work easier and also helped me achieve superior results

P.S. When is AU Falcon.com going to be updated?

Please update them, that would be great.
Aufalcon.com is getting a big update today...I just have to get motivated and get some quiet time.

Articles have been moved to a Car Care section underneath Tech Documents - we will add to them as we go.

Find them here now

Great work russ. I think it's best if I follow your example and take some close up pics of each section that needs special care - eg water traps.
The BA article is excellent.
Thanks for adding the product pics too.

A clay bar is a car enthusiast/detailers best friend. Keep one in the glove box at all times with some purified water or QD as well as a microfibre wash mitt or QD glove (will get pics for the article)

Right then, I'll get to work on the updated AU articles and will be a bit more thorough.
You don't have to use what I suggest in the articles, if you have something that works, use it.
