Chopped up masterpieces?

I clicked in to the thread expecting to see photos of the Porsche 959 targa/convertible conversion or Frank Beard's Ferrari 250 GTO convertible (still mad at that one, I know that they gave us Eliminator and CadZZilla but there were only about 30 GTO's produced and they cost mega now ($10-20m))

I have seen an XC coupe cut into a convertible at a servo in muswellbrook a while back. Also seen a EF wagon cut into a dual cab ute sort of like a crewman in singleton and also a VR-VS ute cut into a tonner in singleton. Also I said before I seen the two-tone 2 door falcon at cardiff.

The red 300+ and the Arrow coupe were both made by Hilliers , the red 300+ started out as a dark green coupe built for Ford then it was turned into the 300 + by the sprintex supercharger mob to showcase their blown 4.6 in the car . They also useda T series sedan as well .

300+ was by AEC (Advanced engine Corporation) and Millard design, not Hillier (there was initial thought that I was based of the original Hillier AU 6-pot).

AFAIK, there was only the two coupe's, one red one maroon. (interesting to hear that there could be a yellow one). There was also at least one congo green sedan. The sedans had the same body kit and engine of the coupe.

The project was "nearly" green lighted by Ford, but is guess the BA falcon launch was the focus, and offering a previous shaped model, with more power etc would have buried the GT...

However, AEC had apparently got the car ADR approved, and was intending to produce 50 coupes and 50 sedans, coupe selling at $135K and the sedan $100k...

They did suggest moving to a BA based product too...

I'll throw my own creation into the mix

Long story short, my wife's school were having a parade, her class theme was Grease. Well, you cant have Grease without Grease Lightning, so after toying with the idea of making some weird cardboard float, I remembered my old ED which had recently done its head gasket (but was not blowing any real noticeable smoke). Well, it was going to sims anyway, may as well make use of it. Out came the grinder.

10 spray cans of bunnings red, 6 sheets of book contact paper and white house paint for the lettering on the tires, Grease Lightning was born. Disconnected the exhaust too to give it a roar. Should of seen the kids faces at the unveiling on parade day, made it all worth while, especially when it fired up.

Almost made a few people crash when it was on the trailer heading up to the school. Dont use camera phones while driving
