G'day all
Been watching this site since the very early days and finally decided to get off my **** and join up. I've had my EA since Dec1994 and its still going strong but must convert it to Multi Point as the CFI seems to need the various sensors replaced too often for my liking! Anyone else find that this happens to them as well? Cheers Frank. :1syellow1

Welcome. MPI is certainly the way to go. I've never driven an EA CFI Falcon but with 120kW from the CFI and 139kW from the MPI (from the factory), it should give you a noticable boost in performance, as well as get rid of your sensor problems.
Wow. An EA for 11 years! I've only had mine for 3 and a half, and the only reason I've still got it is that I can't afford a newer car!

Thanks guys. The good news is that it has Pacemaker headers and a 2.5 inch system which when dynoed raised rear wheel horsepower from 85kw to 100kw which is pretty damn good i reckon! :voldar02: :voldar02: :voldar02:

welcome to FFAU
and cfi motors yep know all about em i def wont ever be going down that path ever again.. ran mine completely stock down the qtr and got 16's form her so they do go aight i guess,but def change to mpfi you could do it yourself and get the parts cheap enough.. enjoy. |

Would you believe i have never had to change the head gasket but am considering doing it to finally fix the dreaded timing cover leak unless someone knows a better way of doing?

yeah, put a steal au gasket in it ;) machine the head and block, jmm dev5 cam, port and polish, then finaly, supercharge, that fixes it ;)
