Default Bookmarking posts/threads

Hi Admins,

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered... I often come across posts/threads with useful information, but then when I go back to try to look for it again, I can never find it.

Is there a way to 'bookmark' a post or thread so that I can find again easily at a later date?

Cheers.

The only way I have found a post/thread that I wanted to keep for future referance is by subscribing to the thread and then finding it in my UserCP subscribed threads.

You can create Folders under thread subscriptions, call it whatever you like and keep the thread in that folder. Hope this helps

Cheers

Subscribing as mentioned probably makes the most sense but there's no reason you couldn't bookmark posts or threads.

For threads just use the full address that will include ...show thread.php?t=.....
For example for this thread that's; http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11415146

Same idea for posts. To get an individual post to display and to use its address click on the post # in the top right hand corner of any post. For example this post is; http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...14&postcount=3

Cheers, Rob

Where would you put the bookmarked thread Rob? Where would it be kept?

Do you bookmark it in your browser?

Cheers

Yes in my browser, I thought that's what was being asked.

You can make folders in browsers too

Bookmarking in your browser is possible but messy and some of us do use more than one laptop/ipad/iphone... but I was more thinking being able to do it within the Forum itself...?

Then adding them to your subscribed threads list stays with the user whatever device they are on and would be the only bookmarking option that would work in that scenario.

Cheers
