In the event that the ford marketing department need a few ideas on how to unveil the new falcon, lets give our view. We want maximum impact.
heres my idea.. Invite media and esteemed customers to allphones arena. Have a long speech about the history of the falcon and slideshow and then some footage. Have a live youtube feed for those not in attendance then the moment everyones been waiting for.. a car is lifted out of the floor with a big drape on it. Someone walks out and the room goes dark. Big spotlight on the car drape is dragged off the reveal an AU forte. the room winces and then goes dark again. Then on opposite side of the room its all music and lights and a falcon drives in that is the new model. Sighs of releif and a standing ovation for a brilliant looking car.. an example of each model comes out... xt, g6, xr etc.. with a headline for each model. Then each of the models are parked for those in attendance to take photos and sit in them and look under hood etc with music and info on each model. Whats your idea? |

Simply just have one of every model falcon drive down path, with "true blue" playing...
Last one being the FH of course... *edit, as the by drive down a dimly lit room, have screens that highlight the achievements over the years, invite some of the big names attached to the falcon to drive them too... -Moffat -Ambrose -Lowndes (probally cant due to contracts) -Bana -Johnson -Seton -Bowe -Max Rockatansky look-a-like etc... Once they all assemble, let the final falcon roll down, and have the house lights come one to reveal a room full of historic race cars, and other noticeable Australian fords (territory, 34' Ute etc)...

Park a new commondore in the middle of the stage... with two chains wrapped around it at each end... tow the thing apart with a pair of matching FH XR8's as the last middle finger raise to the commohore!
Im sure any true blue will love it

They have to have a line up of every model. It would really show the scale of what the Falcon has achieved.

can they find a venue small enough, but that still has vehicle access? I assume it will be announced in pretty packages given to all FA employees... On the outside is a picture of the FU, and the caption "This is the Car we were going to build" and inside will be their redundancy notices. Seriously, if the Falcon were a horse, they would have shot it by now. I reckon the last Falcon will only be available as a Ute, because they couldn't justify spending money on the back half of the car. I am a Falcon man to the bone, and watching these assholes slowly strangle it to death is just too painful. I would rather they went out with a bang, and blew up the factory. Or maybe they could roll out the new flagship model (which will be called the "P7.1" because they couldn't think of anything stupider) then they could lock Marilyn Buela and Bobby Gratziarno in there and pump in exhaust gasses so we can watch the life being slowly bled out of THEM? |

He didn't need to as the OP himself done that from the start... I still find it amusing that he need's to belittle the AU and it's owners and fans by his snide little remarks and attempt's to try and start a topic about something totally irrelevant to the AU Falcon but always ends up with the good old AU falcon in there.
Keep it up Hulkie as you make the rest of them look good. |

I actually own an au falcon. Great car. We are cut from the same cloth galaxyxr8. Surely us au owners can have a sense of humour too.
the thread is about a few ideas about a ford launch. A little jest amongst some serious ideas never hurt anyone. |

Melbourne exhibition centre with a model of every ford built. So everyone can walk around freely and actualy appreciate how ford motoring history as changed all these years.
Then on a showroom platform covered by a checkered ford flag (resembling the finish line) will have the new falcon. Cover comes off at 1pm with everyone there to enjoy. Ford big names all there signing memrobilia.

At this year's Bathurst!
Air dispatch one out of the back of a Herc or lower it from a Blackhawk onto Conrod. F18s screaming about overhead. Get past iconic Ford drivers to pull up in Falcons encapsulating the whole series and start unpacking the as yet unseen FH from its packaged cocoon. Colored smoke, fireworks, noise and action. Then have a bells and whistles XR8 appear, meet up with the rest of the FH variants in the line up and lead a procession including the past Falcons already on track with their respective drivers and proceed to do a lap - it would be a reveal and a farewell all in one. Even the Holden faithful will stand and applaud. Bugger launching it on a stage in a dark auditorium at a distance from the market itself. Falcon is the everymans car - lets see it for the first and final time on the black stuff!

I always thought it would be fitting if Ford stick a badge on them that say "Final Edition" or something.
