Default Job while studying, no experience...

Hello,

Since this is a car forum, i guess you people have had alot of experience with jobs to get your fast cars i will post this question on this forum.

I am currently studying at TAFE (sydney) and i am in urgent need to find a job (i am 20 years old and haven't worked once in my life! :( )

I find it alittle bit hard to find out what kind of job i can get employed in that requires no experience (which i dont have)

Could someone give me some examples of jobs that i can find to get some money in?

While searching the internet for jobs i have found that i could maybe try to find a position in these areas:
Waiter
Storeperson
General Hand
Warehouse person
Assembling?
Packing?

...but the thing is most of the jobs i found on the internet in these areas require experience as well...

How did you people find a part time job while your studying?

Yeh retail places are the way to go. Try Coles Myer recruitment, they always have heaps of casual positions available all over the place.

Try the marketing department at Ford Australia. It appears that you are as qualified and experienced as the people already working in that department.

(where is the sarcasm smiley?)

If you are prepared to do cr@p work for cr@p oney then try fast food or supermarkets, BUT if you're prepared to do cr@p work for decent money then get into a call centre, min is around $15 per hour (that would be REALLY low) and most places are so desperate for staff you don't need experience. The other thing to do is try outbound calls then when you're done that take your "superior customer service skills" move into a cushy inbound centre for someone like optus, telstra, foxtel (you get free foxtel if you work for them!!!) ford? or some telecoms joint and you'll be set. I reckon at least $400p/w for par time hours. Depends if you've got the minerals and take take Fu*kwits who think they're better than you cause they're the dumb sh1t that needs to call you It helps if you can laugh at someone who's just threatened "to go to the media" hahahahaha "I'm sorry sir, Today tonight are too busy to give a ИИИИ about you cause they're too busy harassing elderly people who have too many cats" I think that's a training phrase as well hehehehe

Depending on your physical condition, casual work working in a transport depot or something similar could pay well. I currently work an afternoon shift of 4 hours or more which pays $22/hour for the guys just starting where I work. Evening work such as this could get you similar rates in other industries and can fit in with your study. Factory work can pay higher rates compared to retail/fast food places, but the work is usually more physical and you typically don't have to deal with customers. So if you're not scared of harder work than flipping burgers, but higher reward per hour, that could work for you.

Storeperson work typically requires experience and/or a forklift licence. I had enough problems getting my second job as a storeperson despite 11 years with one company in transport, a good record and a forklift licence.

Default so...

Thanks for the replies,

Though for the jobs you said like a call centre and others how would i go about finding these jobs?
Internet? Or like do i call a company and ask if they have positions available?
Because i am just searching the internet job sites for something and so far it seems very hard to find something.

Go get a forklift licence and that can get you into a few places.

Retail is where I would be looking and most of those you apply online now. I worked in Kmart whilst I was still in school and I was happy with what I got paid for what work I did.

Try these:

Good luck!
