Is the seller claiming the VC as original V8?

XA but is it really worth the extra $7000, that's a question only you can answer.

I'd think the XA would have to be a fair bit cleaner for that price but then again I could be wrong. The Valiant looks pretty clean from what I can see.

Do a bundle deal.
The XA for me though, Mopars are good but resale if you go to sell later I reckon the XA will out perform the Val. Plus I see a tow hitch on the Val and a serious electrical connection for a caravan or something, has the tranny been worked hard?

That Valiant would have to be rare.
I would take it. |

AP6 and VC Valiant V8's originally all had black vinyl roofs.
But going by the photos the VC looks a much better car. |

I've been looking for a Classic, not in a hurry because I want something nice and driveable.
Prefer a V8 but can live with a 4 or 6. Not fussed with the brand, as I have a broad appreciation of all types of cars. Have a soft spot for the VC, spent some youth in my mates. The XA has grown on me, I've always preferred the XB. A mate a beautiful GS XB that has left lasting impressions. A coupe is top of the wish list.

hard to know what they are like under the skin without a bit more investigation, i have had 3 valiants over the years , ap6,vc, and cm , all fairly decent for general duties and reliable, never liked the torsion bar front end on any of them though, my old vc i found to be horrible in crosswinds(mine was only the slant 6 , v8 might be better), great visibility in the old vc, general look of the interior i liked a bit better in the vc than the xa,
thump coming through the floor from the rear torsion bar mounting on rough roads i could feel on every one of the vals, not a deal breaker , but just an annoyance, the v8 val would be tempting, still a few stocker xa v8s around, not too many v8 vc`s seen about these days, tough call and good luck. |

Does he have any more interior shots of the XA? I can't seem to spot the 24k gold plated dunny?
That XA looks pretty average. If an XA is the car of your dreams, go for it, but otherwise $20k is a lot for an uggo Fairmont sedan. If you are partial to Vaj's, $20k will get you into a half-way decent Charger.

V8 was a model above Regal in ap6 and VC and was simply called the valiant v8. Got a lot of features the regal didn't. Floor shift auto, console, bucket seats, extra chrome trim on exterior. And a 273
