Default Shipping a tailgate....Melb to SA

Ok, i have a tailgate in Melbourne I need shipped over, but how the heck can I do it? It's not packed or wrapped or anything of the kind, and it's kinda pointless getting it shipped at all if it gets marked up and who the heck can I trust to pack it right so it gets here unmarked? I can likely get someone to put it aside for now and maybe wait til I get over there to package it but I'd prefer not to. Any suggestions am I missing something in my thinking here?

On the odd occassion my Aunt does trips from WA to over East, if I know she is heading that way and if its not to far out of her way to pick up, I would imagine that she would bring it back for a small fee... I can check it out if that helps out in anyway??

Regards

Stop by Lygon Street in Carlton too if you come down here, good food and coffee.

or
see if one of the nice forum members could pick it up for you and drive .say, two hrs out towards sa, and you can meet them?
that way your drive could be cut to 5 hrs one way instead of 7?
sling em some pettie money for their car?

all depends on where in melbs it is i guess
if its our side of the border all good..if its nsw side...not so good

I'd go to SA for your nice food but I hear it closes at 6PM like the rest of Adelaide

Tempting to make the drive but it'd have to be in the ute, eek, and bra-less. I'd likely get stopped for indecent exposure without my bra anyway. By the time I feed the semi-hungry 5.0 I may as well have flown over on a cheapy and shipped Gave Pack and Send a call and estimated 50kg and dimensions maybe $150 to get it here picked up and packed. Could be a backup plan.

Go to just about any tile/brick/hardware... or just about any building product shop and grab some crates break them up and bang in a few screws make a packing crate for it then ship it as normal.

Bahhh just realised your the receiver not the sender
