Like many things i guess the price becomes what someone is willing to pay, especially in an auction sale. But how often would EL GT parts become available?

For some reason, all EL GT's came with black power windows switches.

I've got some EL GT Side bolsters - all yours for $1000 to complete the above interior.

Is it normal for the drivers door skin to be missing the courtesy light?
Also there are GHIA badges in the front skins rather than GT ones? Nice looking seats though. |

Dude states "Door trims are missing the gt badge" should be badges - that should be at least $1,000 off the total lol Yeah nice Seats but not worth not coin unless in MINT condition

How often do these things actually come up for sale? I picked up an EL GT wreck a couple of years ago but havent seen anything similar for sale since... I have no doubts someone will come up with the 7k to grab it, even as incomplete as it is...

What would it cost to get a trimmer to make copies? The seats don't look to be particularly complex, so shouldn't be hard to match.
Of course they will never be genuine. |

Very expensive, but if you had a resto or a mock up, these would make a great addition.

NL Concorde rear door trims have black switches too, I think it is because of the darker inserts in the door trim (Same for GT) would have looked silly with a light grey switch, and I guess Ford didn't want to make specific coloured switches for just a small run of cars?

Stinky Ninja, no not 7k but because these are rare seats I managed to get a pattern to give GT owners an option if the originals need restoring. Sure I will sell a set to anyone but I can assure you the price has to be right if its not going into a GT or onto original GT seats.

To keep the GT special is the basic answer. How happy do you think HSV is that people have bastardized newer body kits to fit VN commodores. It just cheapens the brand and everything.
So to keep the GT pattern available to GT owners keeps the profile of that model high. But like everything if you really want GT pattern / seats in your GLI or XR or Fairmont then There is a price I would cave in and do it. I have turned down good mates on this pattern. That is why I do not stamp momo logo's on non genuine momo items. when essentially they are just a standard item.

I've only just come across this thread. Does anyone know if this interior sold?
Also, the EL GT had black seat belts, clips, power window buttons, air con vent dials and indicator/wiper stalks to tie in with the rest of the black highlights on the dash and seats. Those door trims aren't EL GT items either as the GT used Fairmont (not Fairmont Ghia) door trims and wasn't fitted with courtesy lights.

I reckon I'd pay about $2k at the most. Trouble is I have nowhere to store it.

2 grand. You can buy ba fg fpv seats for that sort of money and they can be found at any wreckers on any given week. Id be willing to pay top money if I was looking for a unique interior like this to suit an E series or el gt.

If it was mint sure, but i'd put the condition as average when compared to most EL GT seats.
I'd rather drop $2-3k on a retrim

This send alarm bells for me. Where is the rest of the car. Most people when they wreck and ELGT keep the interior intact for either personal use or to command a higher price.
What also piques my interest is that the doorcards have no numbering. Is this deliberate? I know of one car that was missing an interior a few years ago: http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=83524
