Imagine the combinations....

instead of "effing sheet", (filter avoidance for sake of example)

we could have "licking poo"

The whirlpool forum I think replaces the 'f word' with 'flap' or 'flapping'. I'm not a member there, but I have read some threads on there and always thought that sounded pretty funny.

It would be good to have some funny words there for people to know what they mean, without being offensive.

For example you could have the following substitutions for some of the common swear words starting with:

f - fluff eg fluffed, fluffing, fluffwit.
s - stew eg stewwy, bullstew, stewhead.
c - crisp, eg dumb crisp, hairy crisp.

I recently unliked a particular Club (FG related) on facebook because too many people were swearing on it. I brought it up in a particular thread and then was pretty much mocked in other threads about it. I appreciate that you guys have a swear filter here. No need for swearing on a public forum.

Its a fluffing good idea! Might get rid of the bulltwang on here :P

Like that. Would really change the way people typed. Put the wind up a few when they type. "You really are just so hot and what you have done with those wheels is the hottest thing I have ever seen .... "

I might be a bit simple but I just spent 15 minutes in tears thinking of scenarios where the big tough guys trying to insult someone with that would be getting pretty embarrassed. That just made my terrible day alot better!

Member 1: Oh man you are so hot
Member 2: Err... What?
Member 1: Oh I said you are totally hot
Member 2: Oh thanks man, thought you were trying to insult me
Member 1: (deleted profile)

Haha that's gold! I could see something like that stopping forum users from swearing or insulting others. At least it would be humorous to read rather than offensive!

I wish I kept a few of the posts that resulted when I changed it.... Was so funny...

Great when you see a word misused and change it on the fly to something else that would cause some fun for the moderator and forum users alike..... All it takes is a little imagination to figure out what words to replace them with....

Glad I cheered you day up

Should that even be asked? It's the principle.

Is it possible to get "my tax dollars" included in the swear filter?
