The problem with your argument is your comparing a 2014 model V6 with what I presume to be the BOSS 5.4 motors which have been around over 10yrs now. A stock 2005 BF XR8 did the 100kph sprint in 5.9sec, the current model (2015) XR8 will do flat 5sec or less with the right driver... it's call progress mate and that's not taking into account the VW weighs a good 150kg less ! V8's will always command authority over their 6 cylinder counterparts... just look at sales when it was the slower BOSS 5.4 vs the F6. And I've driven mildly modded XR6 turbo's and the rush was great but when I got back in my XR8, I found the drive more enjoyable regardless of the speed of I was doing. Enjoy your VW

The first car i bought was a v8, the first car i financed was turbo, in total ive had 5 v8s and 4 turbos so i guess i like it both ways.
