Cat back and Haltech on a N/A LPG BA. What a waste. Although the Haltech never gave any problems it never gave anthing either. I also tried a reputable tuner but I found the best tune was from the LPG installer. I will admit he was the one who discouraged me from fitting it.

Somewhere out there there is a 59 Bugeye with a heater made from:
* A plastic lunch box * A Galant heater core * Swimming pool hose for ducting * A fan from a computer tower * Silicone and some double sided tape * Speaker wire for power * Old house light switch Cost all of $60 and a few hrs work. Rigged it up the day before doing a trip to Goulburn with the club in Winter. Wish I had a pic of it... looked dodgy as but actually worked quite well!

Hit a gutter doing 80 km/hr. Kept driving until wheel bearing disintegrated. Tie rod end let go, brake pads fell out and wheel just about fell off as I pulled into mechanics.
Adjusted up replacement gear linkages. Went for a drive, parked (nose in). Had no reverse. Put new carpets in my pano. Accidentally crushed a wire. Electrical fire later all good. Last edited by blackf6; 10-01-2015 at 11:13 PM. |

I know there are many other mods I have done, I think the biggest would probably be painting whatever I could take off the engine bay with chrome spraypaint on my first car (EF Falcon). It looked hideous but I did it anyway......

I thought the colour of my XA Fairmont coupe was a bit girly, so I had it painted gunmetal grey. Now I want it back to it's original, special order Teal Glow, man I was an idiot when I was 21.
Cheers, Kraig

An LED AFR gauge on my EB XR8, I cut a long slot in the dash and everything to fit the globes. It did sweet 'f' all except show me how rich the bloody thing ran (this was in the mid 90's before you could tune it properly).
That and the 3.9 diff gears in my old 6 speed VX SS. Although it was a step up from original I should have went 4.11 from the start and been done with it (it was tuned at the same time). |
