Bryan Byrt Capalaba have always looked after me for servicing. The business is trading on waiting for a new buyer. No doubt the administrators will want to be moving stock to keep the dollars coming in.

Bryan Byrt also own Denmac and yes the administrators are in. They were geared pretty high and those dealers that are have to be quick to react and de stock at or prior to economic downturn. It is not a good look for Ford Motor Company that this is happening. There will be more in the coming weeks and months... watch this space.

Salesman at bbf in capalaba tried selling me a 2009 xr6t as a mk2, swore black n blue it was mk2. And when I pointed out the things it was missing he told me I didn't know what I was talking about, and just wasting his time.

Someone's time got wasted that day, and it wasn't his.

I've not had a single good experience at any bbf yard,or service centre.

Surprised, I am not.

Can't say I've had any dramas with them as far as sales and I've bought a lot of cars off them they have been great to me over the years and many of my clients and friends.

Most of them are gone were sold last week I believe there's one orange one left at Denmac.

Sounds like you have an ulterior motive here? Some of what you say is correct, other stuff isn't. Furthermore some of what you post is not really needed in the public arena. All dealerships were open for business on Saturday under control of Deloittes Sydney, trading as usual, which is expected to continue until the business is sold, or dealerships are sold.

I don't think its fair to come on here and make any comment with respect to the future of the business for the sake of the employees still working there.

For anyone wanting to buy a car from them you can at this point its business as usual.

Fact... All VW & Skoda staff at Mt Gravatt & Capalaba were made redundant yesterday. VW have pulled the franchise and VW Finance have taken all their vehicles back. Sad news for all the staff. They can claim their redundancy and entitlements owing via GEERS.
Am sure VW will get up and running asap and employee some of the staff.
Ford, Isuzu & Renault are still operating at this stage.

All customers that paid a deposit to the receiver on a VW will be refunded in the next week.

Fact - the Denmac Ford business has been sold to Motorama. All Denmac staff have been made redundant. Motorama have an advert on Seek looking for staff for their new Ford business at Moorooka.

That is not unusual for a company who buys a business. They hire people on their terms.

Hopefully the advertising is only to appease the "wasn't offered to everyone equally" whiners, and these unfortunate employees caught up in all this can all get their same/similar jobs back (albeit on the new company's terms, which does require the fire/hire process).

Fact - Bryan Byrt Ford to close tomorrow with most staff being made redundant. Hopefully Deloitte's can sell the Ford business and the staff get re-employed.
Apparently the VW franchise is being picked up by the Auto Sports Group.
No news on Renault or Isuzu....

Fact - Moreton Bay Ford are opening parts & service centres at Manfield & Tingalpa in early January 2015 with a full dealership at Capalaba in the first half of 2015.

Stopped in at motorama ford to check out a fgx xr6 ute this morning, sales dude was helpful, not at all pushy.
Knew the differences between fgx and fg2, and rattled them off like a pro.
Also said they can get xr8 but colour and trans is hard to control, and wait time could be awkward.
Wouldn't give me a firm price obviously but said 60k driveaway would be the absolute max.

Apparently Vaughan is running Tingalpa.
All the tech's and foreman are mostly BBF guys from Wecker Road. Really good crew of guys.
