Default FPV/Tickford club NSW cruise to Canberra

Hello all.

Check the FPV/Tickford club of NSW thread out. They are doing a cruise to Canberra this week end. Does anyone want to see if they would mind catching up (subject to their approval of course) with the ACT club to have a look at everyones cars?

Cheers,

Garry.

Think they are planning this trip for Saturday which pretty much deals me out for most of the day. Good idea though!

If I read the post correctly, it was for Saturday and then some were staying for Sunday as well.

Have doubts whether this will go ahead based on response in their website.

Sorry can't make Saturday. My wife's birthday. Great idea though. I hope the members of the NSW club have a good run. Maybe catch up on another run in the future.

Be good to meet up Stu. Was going to answer your posts the other night but got caught up and forgot.
There was no real set plans other than War memorial Saturday and pancakes later in the day. Some of us were thinking of going to Cockington green Sunday but a meet up in the motel car park would be great.

Cheers. Hope to see you guys Sunday.

Nice idea JB. See you at BP Watson at 9:30.

I was having a think about it, but what do you guys think of showing our Sydney friends some of our local roads if it works for them? I was thinking a cruise out to Cotter and then on down to Tidbinbilla deep space tracking station and then potentially down to Corin Dam time permitting. They are some pretty nice roads.

Totally up to our visitors of course. What do you guys think? I think the round trip would only really be about 2 hours.

Cheers

Those with UHF radios please bring them just in case we get to go cruising.

Yes please gents, please fill up and be ready to go - we are meeting at a fuel station! Another consideration is that we are springing this on our visitors, so they may need to fuel up as well - if they agree.

Cheers

What a great day with great people! I managed to grab a couple of happy snaps. A massive thankyou to our friends at the FPV - Tickford Club of NSW. Let's hope our club can do a lot more with our bigger Sydney brothers and sisters.

Thank you also to the ACT FPV XR Club members that also showed up to welcome our Sydney bretheran. It was a great day. Thankyou gentlemen.

A horrible car you have JB. You should take better care of it.

Who said old cars do not attract attention? The oldest in the fleet today can still draw a crowd! Almost as much as Garry's FG X!

Thankyou ladies and gents. I had a great day. I am very much looking forward to doing more with our Sydney friends.

Cheers
