Thanks for pics Stampy and chippitydip, appreciate it. Both cars look very sharp. The standard ride height does look alright with the 18's, lowered is definitely more aggressive looking but would probably be unrealistic for my roading conditions.
hmmm.... thinking I might have to look seriously at the 18's now. Amazing how this thread somehow turned into a 6 verses 8 scrap but cheers for remembering why it was started. Any others with pics of 18's on standard XR ride height would also be welcome additions. |

I suppose I'd better post a pic that Wulos took of one of mine then.
AUIII XR6 HP with the default Forte rear springs replaced with King Lows which is roughly equivalent to the standard ride height of the IRS models. I blame Bluedriver for making me upgrade to 18" wheels.

The other option is for me to force feed 5 litres of fuel and air into my 4 litre... that would be fare too. Either that or we can forget fair and just go head to head... I'm happy to do that. I cant lose the way I see it. If the V8 wins thats fine, its supposed to. If I win I get to point and laugh. Either way no loss to me

Bucky and I will just start getting BD Wheels Inc up and running, sit back and get corrupted firstly by wheels off an ex V8 and then possibly even a V8.
Meanwhilst Casper will be on the job corrupting the both of us on the merits of a JMM Exhaust.

Wait for a cool night at calder casper I'm not done with yet. This time I'll go into the red instead of the 5000rpm limit I set myself at heatcote. 32 degree track temps meant I was coservative with my runs and still managed a 15.6 89mph.
Not taking away anything from your car, bloody rocket and has no right to be as fast as it is and you know it. |

When is the merry band of AU's hitting calder? I'm thinking in a fortnight if anynones interested. At least this time we won't blow head gaskets, glaze/score bores and punish those big ends into submission. Nights have been cool lately
