Hi all, not sure where to put this and running out of time. Trying to find a mechanic or ford dealership in Brisbane we can rely on to work on my oldest's new bf2 rtv dedicated gas. I suspect a minor head gasket leak. It needs rwc and air con repair as well so lpg and fridge ticket would be great.
The mechanics working on it for a backfire at startup missed a smashed pcv valve so they are out. Pieces are still in the top cover so removing that is the first job. |

A Ford dealership will cost a fortune.
Try a taxi workshop - isn't Jastel up that way somewhere (Gold Coast)? You need someone with plenty of experience with Egas stuff, hence the taxi workshop suggestion.

Thanks Phil. I was thinking along those lines myself and hoping some Brissy guys would know a few places to try. Maybe even an AFF member mechanic would pop up. Anyhow tried one guy and he didn't own a torx head set so fail.
The next guy seemed ok, got him to take the rocker cover off and look for the bits of the exploded pcv valve that I couldnt find while I was there. He seemed ok. Found a bent vac pipe as well. |

Where in Brisbane is your son? If he's on the nth side then hycraft automotive at clontarf on the redcliffe peninsula would be your choice. They can handle everything the car needs done.
