Question First Time Falcon Owner - At Last

This could be it. I've been screaming for anything Ford during the last ten years of Aussie V8 racing. Time to own one.

Been offered this vehicle:

http://www.maxmotors.co.nz/load.asp?content=detail(1).htm&vehicleid=1878

For NZ $10,500.

Worth it?

I can get this one:

http://www.maxmotors.co.nz/load.asp?content=detail(1).htm&vehicleid=1869

for NZ $9,980.

I've got about 24hrs to make a decision.

I would seriously appreciate any advice from anyone with a valid opinion.

Cheers.

If anyone can be bothered:

www.maxmotors.co.nz

There's only two AU wagons listed on there.

Blue = Blue Forte = $10,500

Silver Futura = $9,890

Again.. I'd appreciate an knowledgeable or experienced opinion.

ALL the above links i got nothin .. :(

Sounds expensive to me (depends what year model they are though too ! ), allthough i did get mine for a bargain i think ( and im a tightass with money ..lol ) , I got a 2000 model AUII XR6 VCT in Imaculate condition for $10,400, and scored insurance for $20,000 for it, costing me $520 a year for first rating full comp, through Alliantz car insurance ...woohoo ). Anyway - from looking at those prices there in NZ i would say us Aussies could say add another $1000 to your prices roughlly on each car to get the $ value your on about in Australian $'s. Imo if they are AU III's ( late model AU's / newer models ) then the price ain't bad , but thats just comparing to what i have seen here in Melbourne. Your really can pay ANYTHING for an AU ( I have occasionally seen them really cheap ! ), its really hard for 'US' to tell you what your are getting for your $$ without looking at it / test driving it etc etc etc ..... Have a look around the internet at other caryards and compare your prices. You can also check out the market value of any cars too at www.drive.com.au to see weather your getting a good price , good luck

Hi all.

Thanks for your comments.

Maybe the web page was down?

Links now seem to be working if pasted into address field.

What are the fundemental differences between the 'Forte' model and the 'Futura' model?

Things that were options on Forte are generally standard on Futura. 4 power windows, ABS, cruise etc. Go the futura - silver is an easier colour to keep clean, and it's got less KM and more features.

I agree with JC all the way. Definately go with the Futura, lots more stuff than the Forte, the colour and allows alone would do it for me, also the less kays.

All the best with it.
