Default Factory black EF/EL XR's?

Was black ever an option of ef/el xr's?
Ive never seen a black sedan, but I have seen a couple of XH utes in black.
Seems a shame, I reckon it would look awesome.

Not that i'm aware of. The XHII XR utes ran for longer than the sedans did, due to the delay of AU ute going into production after AU sedan, so it picked up some AU colours.

A mate used to own an EL XR6 with the full kit that had been resprayed black (not factory). Apart from being a rough job it looked great.
