Some ******* drove too close to my parked car and took out my driver's side mirror. I rang the local Ford wreckers and they want $85 for a replacement electric mirror. Does this sound reasonable? I'll have a look in the trading post tomorrow, hopefully someone's wrecking an EB/D.
I removed the pistripping from my car (geez, what a fun job that is!!) It looks like above the stripping has been re-sprayed at some stage (maybe coz of fading?) so now I'm left with a definate paint ridge and a slight colour difference. Should I buff down the paint along the paint ridge and hope they blend a bit more, put another damn pinstripe on or lightly sand down along the paint ridge then clear coat it??

Most of their stock is not genuine, if that bothers you

The only time I get iffy about non-genuine is bloody tail light that fade!! I'm planning on doing a full colour code respray anyway, so as long as the general finish of the product is OK, I'd be happy.
Hah, just scored a mirror for $20 from a mate of a mate, that's more like it!!! Anyone got any suggestions on the paint/pinstripe hassle I'm having??
