Or you could have brought this to their attention, you would have gotten the item for free under the Scanning Code of Practice, and no one else gets charged more than they should. Not everyone is out to get you mate.

Because you probably pushed the "no receipt button". Even though it hasn't given you a receipt the assistant can reprint one so u have your evidence.
I work in a supermarket and 99.99% of the time the customer hasn't read the ticket properly or at all. No the customer is not always right. But of course when they don't believe you they aren't willing to go back with you and check and basically accuse you of changing the ticket in 2 seconds.

Probably the 3rd time I have use one of them self serve things, you could be right but I could not care less, but if I did I would of asked I think. ?
That was what I thought the price was at where I seen the battery's, I could of been wrong.
