Post Ford KUGA Tech Upgrade Dec 2016.

"The Kuga has faced increased competition from newer rivals such as the Hyundai Tucson and the recently launched Kia Sportage.
2
Ford is focusing on bringing more tech updates to the new Kuga headlined by its SYNC3 infotainment system.

Controlled through an eight-inch touchscreen the new infotainment system allows for more extensive voice commands that allow users to simply ask "I need petrol" and the system will quickly locate the closest location.

The new interface will also allow pinch and swipe gestures similar to those used on smartphones.(My comment : will cops allow this???)

The Kuga will also be available with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New Perpendicular Parking function enhances the brand's park assist technology to help drivers park in parallel parking spots and 90-degree parking spots.

Upgraded safety tech includes cross traffic alert, city avoidance collision and park out assists which helps drivers exit parallel parks.

It will also come with Ford's MyKey which allows owners to program the car car for younger drivers that can stop incoming phone calls, restrict top speed and limit the audio system's volume.

Styling wise the new Kuga takes on the look of the brand's compact EcoSport and larger Everest SUVs - and the forthcoming Territory-replacing Edge - with a larger upper grille and smaller lower grille along with new LED daytime running lights.

A range of alloy wheel from 17- to 19-inch will be available along with a retractable tow bar at the rear.

Ford has simplified the steering wheel removing some of the buttons making it easier to navigate and auto options will have paddle shifters.

It will also feature a hands free tailgate that is activated by making a kicking motion below the rear of the car.

Engine options include a 1.5-litre turbo diesel, a 2.0-litre turbo diesel and a 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol option, the latter two come with an all-wheel drive option.

Ford refreshed its current Kuga at the end of 2015 so this latest version is expected to arrive in Australian showrooms in December 2016."
I know its in the KUGA section..but not everyone goes there...

Having driven one for half a day, I'd also recommend a little seat bolstering. Admittedly, very few people would probably go from a car that drives on rails with recaro seats to a Kuga, but first left hander I took, I nearly flew out the window.

How is this going to help sales for the next 10 months when people know what is coming.
