I know jaycar sell a tracker that plugs into the obd2 port. It needs a sim card with data, and they claim it can not only tell position, but if you set it up to do so, can tell you when the traction control is triggered and fault codes etc. I've never really looked into to it as my car isn't exactly desirable to steal, but reading the box in store killed some time

These would be worth a try and the cost is minimal.

The problem with those ones is that they are only active when the car is running. There's no power to the OBD2 port when the ignition is turned off.

I think they have a battery in them, but I didn't read to far into them, as it was more a case of that looks interesting, as opposed to I need one of those

GPS jammer, GSM jammer and an alternative means of moving the vehicle other than driving it will render everything useless. If car is desirable or rare, best to have a good insurance policy and not leave anything in the car when parked. Drive an undesirable car or sleeper as a daily with something rudimental like a kill switch or take your steering wheel with you as a deterrent for young amateurs.

Yes if they want it they will take it, like the Phase three that was taken from the underground bunker surrounded by a moat full of piranhas and starving crocodiles, guarded by a troop of special forces soldiers, and 10 specially trained guard dogs, whilst being chained to the leg of a fire breathing dragon with titanium chains, yet it still disappeared without a trace.

I think no point even locking my classic up any longer, so I now I just leave it parked in the street with the windows down and keys in the ignition, no point locking it up, if they want it they will take it
