Quick tip.
If the website, Ford Aus that is, states the feature is available, take a screen shot.
Make sure you have this proof as they cannot wriggle out of it then.
Then make lots of noise about not getting what you paid for. Mention consumer affairs as a last option.
Good luck.

My son has just bought a 2011 CL Fiesta and now realised it cannot stream audio via BT
I bought the upgraded module/ loom and fascia plate from the UK for $260.
Seems to be a very common upgrade over there as I had little issue getting information on how to do it.
The challenge I can see is getting a Dealer to activate the USB option.
I will update on the progress

That would be awesome!!

Would you mind linking me with the site/company you used to get the hardware? I've been looking into a way to get this and for $260 it seems quite reasonable!

As you mentioned though, finding a Ford dealer willing to do it may be harder...

Did that include everything you need to connect it (including Y-cable etc.) and shipping? If so DEFINITELY let me know where you got that because its a steal!! At that price you could afford to pay the likely absurd labour cost Ford will charge to use their IDS to finalize it

Price did not include Y cable. But based on what I have read you can use a std 3.5mm jack into the headphone and std apple sync/charge into the usb.
Parts sourced from sheppey motor salvage UK

Did you buy off their eBay store? They dont show that they will ship to australia. There's currently a 8M5T-19C112-AP listed on there for ~$60 AUD after conversion but no mention of price etc.

Would love to hear of how you go with installing/activating though, keep us posted!

Finally got around to doing the install and everything worked first go.
The CL now has BT Music streaming and USB for iPhone/iPod/Usb stick integration. All these features are also controlled by the steering or fascia controls.
Steps:
-Install upgraded BT Module with USB 8M5T-19C112-AN or any later revision ie -AP/AS/AT etc. (I bought AS rev from a UK wrecker)
Unit goes under the Glovebox
-install USB A socket to USB Mini Plug (bought this from Jaycar) I have a temp USB connection in the Glovebox but noticed Jaycar have a panel mount USB socket that I can retrofit we're the current AUX jack is.
-have ford enable with an IDS:
Bluetooth module to "BT/VC phone interface + USB connection"
Accessory module to "With USB and iPod function"
-go to Ford UK mobile connectivity site and download latest firmware for BT integration. Latest rev does away with having to use the Y cable. You can now use your std apple sync/charge cable

That's it pretty simple

I'm so jealous! I can't get the guys in the UK to send me one of the units!! It would cost me close to $1000 to get it done with parts sourced in Australia...

This page;
http://www.ford.com.au/bluetooth-and-ipod
Has a link for the software update.
But the link is dead.
As this is a current FordOz page I would use this page;
https://www.ford.com.au/contact-us
To request the link be reinstated, or the firmware be emailed to you direct.

I have a Fiesta 2010 LX and rather than go to all that trouble, it seems to me the components are the same size as the Zetec. So would it be easier to just purchase an antire head unit from a 2010 Zetec model and just swap it out with my original ? That way I get the full Zetec functionality without any modification needed.

Ideas ?

Is it the head unit of the Bluetooth unit though?
I don't really know.
Someone must.

I found a link for the Software update if anyone needs it. I haven't tried it yet but from all reports on the other forum it works and fixes the bluetooth connectivity issue and the iPod connecting via usb issue.

Hope it helps

The problem is not for the ZETEC Model, but for the LX Which does NOT have blue tooth. I read that there is an entire module missing !!
So as much as I would love to flash... how do I flash with no port ? This is repeated over and over again. The model I have is a 2010 WS fiesta LX. the WS means it is an Australian Model.
