Default LW Focus engine mounts

All, has anyone had to replace engine mounts on their LW? My 2012 is in for transmission work and the dealer has said the mount needs to be replaced. They are unsure if it will be covered by my factory extended warranty. I have searched but it seems no one has done them yet - is this unusual? Car only has 58,000km.

Default Re: LW Focus engine mounts

I have seen this after a trans repair. Usual cause is the repairer does not support the engine when the transmission is removed and all the weight/stress of the engine is on the engine mounts. It distorts or breaks the mount in the worse case. If it distorts it you will find that straight after the repair there is a vibration evident in the vehicle.
