Hey all, just looking for a recommendation for a good mechanic in Auckland to get some work down on my BA Fairlane. I just need some general servicing and have a few issues that I need to get checked out and fixed. Namely a slight missfire under load, steering shakes quite a lot occasionally, intermittent knocks from the front right wheel etc. etc.
Basically just looking for a mechanic in the area who can suss out my car and find out what all is wrong with it, then go about fixing it. I'm assuming mechanics who deal with a lot of fords would either be on this forum or be known by people on this forum so I thought I'd just chuck up a post and hope for the best. cheers

If it's anything like Australia, I hope you find a mechanic who has his own ford parked out front and has a passion for it. Pretty well anyone can service anything, but if you find a guy who cares for your car as much as you do, it will be fixed right. Oddly enough I get my work done by a Korean bloke, and he is excellent. That being said he drives an evolution, and my experience with Mitsubishis is they need constant monitoring.... keeps an eye on the ghia quite well.

Auckland's a pretty big urban sprawl, so you might need to state which part.
