Default I Need A Car Valuation Done - Who To Call?

A taxi of mine was crashed into a couple of weeks ago. I'm a tad miffed about this.

I've got a payout offer from the other person's insurance company, but it's less than what I need.

The assessor has said that if I can get a higher valuation then he'll happily pay it.

Anyone know any car valuers?

What did you have your car insured for $$ . Would have thought that your insurance company would pay you & get reimbursment from the other driver's insurance company...

^^^^^What he said, unless you have an agreed value with your own insurance your pay out will be market value in which case most insurance companies will be same to each other.

This can be negotiated on, often they will try offer you lower than the average value. If you feel your car is worth more than the value offered such as if the car had very low kms, had modifications then the payout MAY be increased.

A friend was offered a lower value for a write off than he was happy with, he showed examples of other similar cars with similar kms etc and his payout was slightly increased.

BUT I feel none of this is likely to apply to a taxi anyway.

I gave up on paying $4500/year for comprehensive insurance last year and dropped it to third party coverage.

Problem is that some moron ran a red light and took out the car a couple of weeks ago.

He's insured with RAC, but their offer is below what it should be.

This does happens at times when you run the risk of having basic insurance.

Best of luck trying to claim full value.
