Build status

I've ordered an F6 and the dealer supplied me with the SIDO today.
Does anyone know if it's possible to follow the build status via a Ford or FPV web site, using the SIDO?

Only once you have received your car,you can download the pics of your car being built.There are normally around 5 or so pics.
But you must do that within the 1st six months or you will miss out.

You can track a car with the sido only through Ford computers, as far as I know. When I used to work there I used to do this all the time, not sure if dealers can do!!!!

They don't have this feature available anymore. I tried for a couple of months but the site kept saying that the URL didn't exist. So I emailed them and they told me that they don't have the photographic feature available anymore. The didn't have a reason, they just said that they disconnected it.... Its a pity cos it was good to see a pic of your car and think "thats my car actually getting built". Made it a little bit more special.
My car was an October build and it was turned off sometime back then.

You can track your car if you know someone whom works at ford through a ford computer I did this with my BF......

Hmm, could have, but misses wanted more on her trade. it was her decision. The price on the XR8 was 40k drive away. This was an awesome price. (I have heard of but not seen cheaper prices on BA Mk2s) This would not change regardless of trade or not. I am guessing that they offered me under average trade, as the average would include partial amount of discount from price of new car. I would have bought it. Wife wasn't convinced. I am sort of happy. I think we will wait for the XR5 to come out. Although she loves to drive big cars, she hates to park them. Just means she won't be able to enter her car in my club....

I have just ordered my BF Gt & the dealer has also supplied me with a SIDO numbers, hes told me to contact FPV & they are usaully happy to give you a status on the car.
