Default iphone when's it time to upgraf

Hi

What's the signs it's time up upgrade to iPhone 5s or 6 from the iphone 4 because the iphone 4 when it's on internet it closes out and it's getting worse and has done it 3 times tonight,

If your not in a position to upgrade what can you do to your old phone, or is there cheaper iPhones until you can upgrade like secondhand iphone 5 or something

What's average cost of secondhand iphone 5 no good spending a lot to buy time as it's cash you could put to the 6

Purchased five iPhones off eBay. Just picked those local to my area and checked them out in person and paid cash. You didn't say if you have a 4 or 4S as we still have two 4S on the go and they can run the latest IOS unlike the 4.

iPhones life span is about 2 years then the software gets slow because Apple don't support it, don't provide the best dates etc, so the phone becomes redundant.

Also batteries in iPhones last around 2 years.

So I would say most iPhones over 2 years old need replacing. My iPhone 6 is coming up on the 2 year mark and I can see that it will need replacing soon, because the battery last just under a day.

If You can buy a new iPhone.

Can you buy cheap secondhand iphone 5 to get you out of trouble until you get a 6, what's least you'd pay for the normal 5

Don't want to spend a lot as it's cash you can use to get the 6

My friend just upgraded his Iphone. He had it for 4+ years.

He needed to carry a battery booster everywhere he went as the internal battery was shot, the software started to get very lagy so he finally upgraded...

To an Android device and greatly regrets not doing it sooner.

Why MUST you have an Iphone? New Android phones start at around $100.

My 4 is similar to yours, and won't support the latest iOS, it's a second phone / private phone so I rarely use it but the inter web issues are a pita.

I have no problems with android but I had a galaxy s4 at my last job I loved it so much I I got an iPhone sim for it and used my iPhone 4 it really sucked that bad, it lagged it shut down and would just lock up, it went back to Samsung and they told me there was nothing wrong with it, so I just threw it in a draw and used my iPhone

But my kids are using I don't know what brand android phones and love them

4 is useful as a phone and that's bout it these days. 4S faster and can load latest IOS but I'd look for a used 5S somewhere, plenty available.

Time to upgrade to a new phone to replace your IPhone is the same day you bought the IPhone! Get an Android and using a phone is so much better!

Wife would vehemently disagree with that having done the iPhone 4 to Samsung 5 migration.

I still have a 4s as a work phone (its only 5...). Apart from the lock button failing within a week (I have to use the accessibility dot thing) I t calls and emails fine and the battery goes for 2 days. I don't even bother with the Internet on it because it's deadly slow, and it hasn't been updated since 2013, and it runs the old ios fine. For my personal phone I ditched apple for a galaxy s5 a couple years ago and have never looked back

http://ulefone.com/products/power/features.html

I had had enough of my old iPhone 4s and decided to give one of the new Chinese android phones a go, (ulefone power) must say i am extremely impressed, the battery lasts for 3 - 4 days before i recharge and it is really packed with all the features i will ever need, 13mp camera, 5.5 inch screen for around $200 i recon it was a bargain.

I've had my same iPhone 4 since 2010.
It's been serviced a couple times and had a new battery during that time.
It does run a bit slow, but then so do I, so no great drama.

I still use my 4s as an on-call phone through work. It still works flawlessly.

My galaxy s4 was upgraded recently when everything started acting up.

I think when the phone gives you grief then time upgrade otherwise as long as the phone can still make calls then stick with it. That's what I tried to do but ended up smashing my Samsung as it was rubbish

Is there anything you can do to stop the iPhone 4 from closing out of internet when it wants to or is it really time for a new one

Iphones are far from affordable for what they are. My missus had a 4s for 4 years and it was definitely on the way out. I bought her a 6s for Xmas at a whopping $1152. My android on the other hand lasted 2 years at a cost of $350. I've just replaced it with an Oppo @ $260. Does everything the Nexus did and quicker. If you're on a budget get out of the iPhone cycle.
