Default injector sizes on stock ecu

Hi,

well i still dont have the wolf in as i cant get info out of any of you regarding installation and filter boxes and so on ing_sm

so, since i would like to drive it around as it is now, i was wondering if the stock ecu would take 24lb injectors with a high fuel pressure???

or will it have a hissy fit like usual??

cheers.

btw, they are out of a combodoore (ducks and hides)

Won't work without a chip, the car will be overfueling constantly.

the blue tops (from HSV and magna's) need a higher fuel pressure then the stock fuel reg does to get 24lb.
i think with the normal fuel pressure they get about 21lb.
it'll run richer, but i don't know how well.
john xr6 had 24lb injectors in his car, with stock fuel reg and it seemed to run fine.

Bingo.

Blue tops @ 275kpa (non XR) are 21lbers. @300kpa they flow 24lb.

If you're running turbo don't upgrade to blue tops unless they are free and you're only running 3-4lb boost. Bluetops + stock reg max out (80% DC) at arround 150-160rwkw.

what do you think stock injectors max out at?

im running a chiptorque with my 1521a, headwork, etc. stock injectors & reg. should i get an XR6 reg (or better?) before chiptorque come to melbourne and i get it dyno tuned to make sure they dont run out of fuel while its on the dyno? i currently have no idea if im lean up high, but going by what youre saying, i should be.

help!

And people are saying my car could be maxing the injectors out. My car is mostly stock, just has a running lean problem.

Get an XR reg. stick 19's max out (well hit 80%) at arround 3600rpm :(

If you run the 906's (bluetops) with a rising rate fuel reg (you can get one for $160on ebay) and a fuel pump ($160 for a bosch 044 on ebay) you should be good for 170rwkw before you have serious issues with spark
