Question Speculating HSV's post GEN-F lineup

http://performancedrive.com.au/hsvs-...ore-ends-0921/

Wrote this to try and work out what HSV is going to do when local production ends. Will they still have the resources and capacity to source overseas engines and cater to the existing clientele in some way? Or can we expect a whole different business model with lightly warmed over imports and different niches altogether?

HSV are already converting and hotting up Dodge Rams. I friend of mine has a contract with them to supply what will become a Genuine accessory/optional extra.

Are they going to RHD the rest of the dodge range too? The current fleet of dodges look very good in the flesh . Previous generation models were plastic fantastic, but the new charger and challengers really have a road presence that even makes the latest mustang look a little soft.

Rumour has it, the Camira will get a run again. Can't be worse than Roland Danes Commodores.

He definitely said HSV. They did him a good deal on a R8 LSA as he wanted to sweeten the deal with them. An exec took him out in a Senator for a blat including burnouts.

Dodge Rams?
Sheesh, I see they are starting small...!
How many a year are they expecting to sell of those?
I see HSV withering away to nothing shortly after local Holden wraps up. They'll try, but I just dont think people will be that interested anymore.

Well they are already discounting them so its not going as well as planned. No wonder at 140K.

Walkinshaw own a majority stake in HSV, Walkinshaw run the Dodge conversions as "American Special Vehicles" in a building right next to HSV.

Then I'm guessing the answer to my original question depends how big of a cash injection they get from Walky. Judging by the commercial success of the Ram operation I keep reading about, they might have enough to engineer some hot products. I wish I'd incorporated this into the article now..

They can all do it. It's just they are ugly. Uncomfortable. Unreliable. Rust prone slow and crap to drive. At work they are the prize that you get for showing up late and all the fords and gmc's are taken

GM actually have some good cars that would make a good basis for HSV's.... Cadillac ATS, CTS and the Camaro.

But they are all LHD.
