Default Water entry

Hi I'm doing a mini resto on my mk2 rs 2000 I have water entry into the lh side of the boot. I have tracked it back to entering via the lh c pillar vent . There is no visible rust in the pillar or vent internal or external does anybody know where water that enters the vent drains ? I'm guessing the drain is blocked somehow
I have compared left to right and visually they look the same from the inside boot angle and removing the external vents as well

There is no drain, best left to drain to the boot and out the drain hole. This is what caused the pillars to rust. Water was trapped in the cup as there was a seal between the cup and outer skin. This was all part of the flow through ventilation.
