Chopper!!
Why would I shoot a bloke BANG, then drive him to the bloody car and wizz him off to the hospital at a hundred miles an hour? It defeats the purpose of having shot him in the first place.

There were plenty of Falcons in the old police show Homicide. The show gives you a good view of what roads in Australia looked like in the 1960s.

It's not just you. I think the E and B series are the best looking Falcons.

There was an early 80's cop show with XE ESP Fords in it.
Special Squad? Can't remember the exact name of the show.

Did anyone see the Ford Territory SX or SY in the shoot out scene in the current series of Homeland last Sunday night?

Watched till the end of the episode, seems it was done in South Africa, where Ford exported some Terrys for a bit. |

Four XE's were used in "Special Squad" (1984-85) -two Fairmonts and a Fairmont Ghia (BWL-024, BWL-878, and BWL-884), and a Falcon GL (BRY-802) as a marked car, previously used as the same in later episodes of "Cop Shop".
Two XC sedans were used in "Cop Shop" - IVK-013 as a "CI car" and AKG-234 as a fully-marked car. AKG-233, an XC wagon, was used in "Skyways". An EA sedan was the main cop car in "Skirts" in 1990. Going back further, "Homicide" used an XP (JJO-483), XR (JPF-046) and XT (JYC-263), with an XT divvy van (KOK-478) being used in "Division 4", and popping up in a lot of "Homicide" eps around the same time. |

This XB GS Van apparently appeared on Neighbours several years ago as the transport for one of the semi regular characters. The guy who owned it at the time worked for Channel 10.

I have just seen some very good bits of Valiant cop cars chasing on youtube 1976 Bluey (TV Series) car chases. it was good to see old mud guts Bluey fighting the wheel having a go, but it looks like his offsider does most of the driving, with old blue looking as if his life was on the line of that young cop.
With that moustache and that gut, old bluey could put the fear into anyone. |
