Hi All
Just trying to remove the harmonic balancer on my EA. Have removed the radiator and fan and have loosened the main bolt. I have a gear puller that I have used to remove a balancer on a Zed but have searched the forum and looks like you use a different tool on Fords. How do you use these things to pull the balancer off? Any tips or pics would be appreciated : CHEERS MICK |

you screw two of the bolts into the inner part of the balancer, screw the balancer center bolt in so it's about a quarter in,get the center bolt of the puller and screw it in till the balancer comes off, what ever you do, don't forget to put the bolt back a bit as you'll totally screw up the thread.
hope that helps

Go to Supercrap and spend $25 bucks on a balancer removal tool. Gear pullers are useless on semi tight balancers.
