Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week Pulling of a best time of 12.68 @ 111.85 MPH, this VE Series II Commodore Sportwagon is certainly for more than just hauling the family around. Top Japanese of the Week Even for the mighty rotary, breaking into the nine-second bracket is an incredible feat. This FD RX7 managed exactly that with a best run of 9.54 @ 152.62 MPH. Top European of the Week Utilising the proven combination of turbocharged power and AWD grip, the Golf R is an absolute beast with a tonne of potential. This MK6 Golf R in Rising Blue managed an impressive best time of 11.99 @ 115.67 MPH. Top Ford of the Week With a best time of 12.19 @ 118.37 MPH, this FG FPV Ute certainly meant business. FPV may be long gone, but their cars will no doubt continue to be a staple here at Sydney Dragway. Commentators Pick of the Week On the outside, the HQ Ute looked extremely understated. However, there’s no mistaking its true intentions – run fast times and shred tires. Running a best time of 11.89 @ 115.80 MPH and capable of producing a remarkable smoke show, the HQ does both things extremely well. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Race 4 Real is this Wednesday, February 1. See you there!
