Just did a bit of a review up on a rally game, WRC: Rally Evolved.
Has the Fiesta JWRC and the Focus WRC in it, plus privateers. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...709#post519709 Timmeh! |

I'm playing it tonight as well, love the co-drivers stern words after we crash or have a very close call - "Blimey!!!!!!"
My JWRC Fiesta has terrible lift-off oversteer though, but championship complete, time to step up to AWD. Timmeh |

Well Adam and I have just finished a weekend of 2-player Championship mode, Adam playing as Lresta and myself as Gardemeister. I can happily say with a win in Finland, I came 3rd in the championship, with Adam coming 4th. We played the tough medium level of competitiveness, can't remember exactly what it was called, but a real challenge!!!
I'm going out to buy this now, love it to death!

It's a great game... I've finished the JWRC Championship in the Fiesta and currently doing the easy championshop mode in the Skoda Fabia (didn't want the best car just yet) but boy does that car have some balance issues.
After this, I'll tackle the medium difficulty in the Focus I think. I can already see that Hard will be pretty challenging, easy is ok but occassionally the computer cars pull out a time that is remarkably fast. Great game. Timmeh |

Ha ha ha ha... The Skoda was the car crashed on EVERY stage I raced in EVERY rally lol. don't remember it finishing a Rally ever! Poor Colin McRae!!
Yeah we went straight for Medium difficulty in the two Foci, was fun racing as a manufacturer and I tell you what, it was so realistic battling HARD for solid places, getting occasional 2nd's and thirds and a solitary first place each (mine in Finland - GO Gardemeister!!! Adam was in Spain). Seriously, we battled HARD and dealt with minor crashes, major crashes and random events like Roos, Sheep and crashed Skodas :gren: Can't say I've had more fun in a long time racing a mate on the PS2, usually so boring, this was against each other but also together as a manufacturer, a brilliant idea. Boy Rally Australia was a bastard though!!! I'll buy it and start from the beginning I reckon. Only problems are the lack of Super Special stages at the end of each Rally and the limited number of stages. Otherwise, it's simply awesome.

And YES, Rally Evolved really is that good. Graphics are brilliant, gameplay is awesome. I wasn't going to buy anymore games either, will be trading in Colin McRae 2005 shortly, it's a sick joke in comparison!!!
