Default Capri purchase

Hi,
I am a die hard Ford fan and have a few in my shed currently.
i want to ad a Capri to my garage, one of the soft top ones, but I have 2 problems I'm hoping some of you guys out there can help me with

1) My wife doesn't like them.
2) What should I look for when buying one?

any help with either problem would be much appreciated.

cheers,

Had you been 6 months earlier, and in nsw. There was an old bloke at my local trying to shift his 92 xr2 auto non turbo for $3500. New soft top and good paint. Only 128 thousand. It's gone now though.

The tickford club sprint (I think that was its name) would be one to aim for.

Personally if I was buying a Capri it would be an older rwd one.

If you can't solve problem One you won't have to worry about problem Two

A lot of people still think the Capri is just a ford version of a mx5, ala Telstar/626

If only.... Would have sold better if it had been even close to as good as a mx5

Tickfords would be the choice, but as long as it puts a smile on your face the lesser models are cheap thrills.
Gumtree search shows a couple of pages of 80's Capris. Same can't be said about the same era courier/rangers and telstar's. What does that tell you?
