Hi mate,
The motor will be 175kw spec (Base model, no tickford extractors no twin 2 1/4 press bent exhaust) The diff ratio will be 3.23, more than likely lsd. The traction light and abs light is an issue ive had before, its in the electronic part of the abs module, common fault, and something inside it fails, i had to send mine away for repair. Repair was about $150 through a seller on ebay. You can remove the electronics part while leaving the abs module in the car (meaning you dont have to remove brake lines etc) Turn around time was about a week. Installed the repaired module and havent had an issue since. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-AU-2...EAAOSwgQ9Vkm8n This is the seller i went through, recommend the service.

As mentioned you will have the 175 kW 5.0 Windsor V8.
The diff ratio will be 3.23. The VCT 6 had 3.45. Fairmont Ghia didn't have a standard LSD. The availability of a LSD on the Ghia is a bit hard to pin down. For AU series the LSD wasn't available with IRS, so Fairmont only. For Series 3 LSD was only available when sports IRS was optioned on the Ghia. For series 2 I cant find any reference to an LSD in the appropriate brochure specs.

The diff ratio on my V8 Ghia is 3:45 lsd, series one though. If you can be bothered if you get under it there will be a metal tag on the diff stating Lsd and there should be a sticker also which gives info about the ratio.

That would explain it having an LSD, ie being part of the Sports IRS package.

was going to try post this earlier
Magazine Scan With final drive ratios that should summaries the spec of the diff ratios, unless they deviated from what was published. They wernt specific about the V8's option. If you did want to know the exact options i believe you can also get that info from ford, build numbers ect. |

Any pics of the Tickford Ghia? I'm keen to see it as I also have an Series II Ghia but mine only has the bodykit option (and SatNav) as far as I know.
Yours must have black trim if it's got the Momo steering wheel as I'm not sure I've seen a grey Momo wheel in an AU before. |
