Default Which wheels suit an AU Sedan the best?

I picked up an oxford green 99 AU sedan a few weeks back.. its time for some mags... after looking thru catalogs and going to shops, I keep getting alot of different opinions on what type of wheels suit an AU.. I originally wanted a sharp 5 spoke wheel.. but a few people are telling me, it will clash with the shape of the Au too much.. and I should find something that doesnt look like razor blades...

Heres my car btw.

If some people can show me some examples of their cars, with 17s on it. That would be great.

Hi, if i were you, i would go the BA XR18's like what i have on my Green AU.

you can go 19's but will probably start running into issues with the guards.

check out a photo of mine..

I think some wheels suit the stock bodykit better. If I owned a S1 Forte, I would be looking at some of the Tickford Wheels. Maybe the 17" 5 spokes that Casper has on his car. Those wheels and a lowering job, and its a nice looking clean car. But thejn you could do what Rob has done with the kit, in which case 18's or 19's are the go.

19's would be better on my au dwayne, but i think 18's are just good enough!

i rekcon the best factroy "mag" wheel is probably the ROH azzuros off the Ts50. love the look of those! would be awesome if they came in 19!!!

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what others think as there will always be people that will tell you that they like or dislike whatever you put on your car. The most important thing is that you like what you put on it and that is why is there is so many different things available. Different things for different people.
SFR ROB has a nice looking car with BA XR8 rims on it. I'm sure that some people will like these and some people will not. Everybody has there own opinion but at the end of the day its YOUR car and YOU want to be happy with what YOU choose.

It doesn't matter what people think, choose what you like best. People will like it or they wont either way. So go with what you want.

chances are I will lower it in time... if ur seen any of my other threads, looks like I could be up for a new alternator soon.. so I'll put off the lowering job.. but Mags cant wait.

Probly just go 17's.. my AU has stock 15s on it, so yeah.

$700-odd each plus tyres- fronts are 8.5" and about $100 cheaper than the 9.5" rears

they are AWESOME wheels- super light and I'm so surprised I have only ever seen one other car with them on- a twin turbo 350Z and they looked WAY better on the AU
