Does anyone use an onforwarder from the U.S? If so who? Any traps?

I was going to suggest www.priceusa.com.au, but with the GST on overseas goods, they're closing down.

So I checked out some Choice reviews I found which wasn't too out dated and threw a dart at one and hoped for the best. From what I can tell you so far is that you have no idea how much it is going to cost till it's too late and at the onforwarder. Second it's bloody expensive. Third, it's bloody expensive, there are options to have the packaging reduced which you pay a fee for but the downside is that it may void any warranty. So far my package has goods worth 73$US, the parcel weighing 4.5kg from the onforwarder will cost 81$US. It must have already been looked at because when I clicked the "reduce packaging" icon it said it couldn't be reduced. Four, its bloody expensive, I think my parcel is bigger than I thought meaning it went up to the next bracket of charges as I was sort of expecting 50$ or thereabouts. No matter it will be here in about 7 more days. Though its an ouch situation for me I will be happy to see my goods.
I guess we get accustomed inexpensive postage from China where a lot of stuff comes from and forget its so close and when we want post from US find out how much further and longer it will take to get here. Happy days.

Does everything attract GST these days or is it only if it’s valued at over $1,000?
