Hi Guys & Gals,
Does anyone else have trouble with the Gumtree site? Every time I open Gumtree it's only on screen a few seconds and it just disappears. I've never had a problem before but I do now. It's been like this for a while now and it's p-s--n me off. Any advice or suggestion would be appreciated. Cheers Grahame. |

Hi,
Suggest this thread is moved to the bar, not really automotive related. Gumtree still works fine on my computer, so it is likely something in your end. Please try with different browsers. I use IE11, but you may for example try Chrome or Edge, and see if that makes any difference. If I was you, I would perform a full scan of the computer for any viruses, malware and ad-ware. It reminds me about what happened to my previous Android phone, where some re-direction adware always redirected the browser to some 'pop-up' website within a few seconds of starting the browser. (usually some 'you're a winner, spin and win a new phone...' etc.) On that phone I couldn't manage to remove the ad-ware 'app' or whatever it was, so I had to install a paid VPN-browser for Android, ($10/year) via a service that filters out all known spam and re-direct attempts. That worked great on the phone as long as I had it, never re-directed again, but such measures shouldn't be necessary on your computer. Cheers,

gumtree.com.au was one site I always had trouble with loading using IE but found it best viewed on Chrome.

Yeh, I wasn't too sure where this thread had to go even though I felt it wasn't the right one so I'm sorry for that.
Thanks for the response/advice it's much appreciated. I'm using chrome but it still happens. It's the only site I have trouble with. I've not had a problem with it before just lately so I'm not sure what's causing it. |

It could be your internet security system. I had major problems when using gumtree after installing a security suite. I use kaspersky & certain components would cause all sorts of problems, although it is sorted now. Try disabeling your internet security, then try using gumtree. It worked for me

Same security Black13.
I've been thinking it could be the security for awhile now as it comes up on screen and I can't seem to get rid of it. |
