Hi,
My wife has a 2011 WS Fiesta Zetec, only done 70000km, just recently she has had the Left Hand Indicators stop working. Front, side mirror and rear. The LH indication on the dash flashes once, and then nothing. No LH Indicators when hazards are on either. Ive done the easy things, removed and checked the bulbs, they are all good, but when they are all removed, Im getting a short circuit across the terminals. Not sure if this is correct. Im thinking its the flasher/relay for the LH side has failed. And I believe its part of the indicator stalk. Has anyone else run across this problem? And if so, have you been able to fix it, and what was the problem, and the fix? Thanks in advance. |

There isn't a flasher / relay for either side as the turn indicators in the Fiesta are controlled by the GEM (General Electronic Module).
The left and right have different ground points but if neither front or rear are working then that is not likely to be the cause. I'd firstly replace (not check) all the LH globes as it's the cheapest check. The next thing would be to check all the connectors, particularly the front ones to ensure no damage to the wiring as you shouldn't see a short with all bulbs removed. Cheers Russ
