What are the widest tyres that you can fit to a 2016 lz sport with 17"rims?
That is without having any scrubbing or hitting on guards or inner guards and also not using the steering limiter as used when 18" rims are fitted. |

I'm considering the hankook ventus prime 2 in 215x50x17
But I really like the tread pattern on the 225x45x17 of the hankook ventus rs4 Does anyone have a preferred tyre choice. The stock michelins I have now achieved 51000 kms with a bit more left in them in tread depth.(probably get close to 60000 if taken to wear blocks ) |

I would not go wider than 215. Any wider, and you're going to have to put steering rack limiter. The other thing too, the 225/45 would have a slightly smaller diameter which means your speedo will be out, that is, it will be overestimating your speed. There is already a slight overestimation of speed with the standard tyres, it will be worse with the 225/45s.
Check out this site: https://www.tyresizecalculator.com It has various calculators for resizing tyres. As I said, I would not recommend going for a bigger width because the standard tyre is right on the limit already. |

Did you go with the the hankook ventus prime 2?
If so, how do you rate them?

I haven't done a thousand Klms yet but I don't think I will change them(jax offers 30 days 1000ks satisfaction guarantee). I have pushed them hard on a wide entry on a round about and didn't hear them scream, but they are still green. |
