Default Sprint info

Mate,
There are a few sprint threads here.
See here

Have a look through see the second posting in that thread for more links..

ED Sprint exterior wise was fairly similar. The XR8 has red rubber inserts in the bumpers etc where the sprint ones were black.
The sprint has Sprint badges and the special ROH Sprint 16" rims.

Interior, the sprint has leather bolsters on the seats and chaser cloth in the main part of the seat, where the XR8 had chaser cloth through out.
The Sprint has a 5,500rpm redline tacho and the xr8 had 5,000rpm red line. I think ALL ED XR8 and Sprints came with the momo wheel.
They came with the Std radio casette system with an optional High end system with CD stacker. The Trip coputer, Cruise control and Sun roof were all options on both cars.

The running gear was what really made the sprint what it is.
The XR8 is 165KW and the sprint is 195~200KW depending on the article you read. The sprint had different suspension geometry, different stearing rack, nyothane bushes through out twin system, different clutch.
The XR8 has e7 heads and the sprint has GT40 Iron heads. Different manifold, 24lbs injectors, roller rockers etc.

I could go on but I think you get the picture...

Optional on either car, depends what options the first owner ticked at the dealership.

When it comes to power it wont matter....something tells me this has a little more poke then a Sprint could have ;)
More after exterior and interior. Just got a few ideas.
But power is no way an issue............................................. ..I'll be itching to cruise once it's done

Mate,
per above. The main factory options on the XR8 / Sprint were:
Sun roof
Tow bar
Cruise control
Trip computer
Auto trans
Sprint body kit (extra front, side and rear skirts)
Premium sound system (CD stacker, extra speakers, sub woofer etc)

That is about it for XR8 / Sprint options.
Some may skof that the extra 30Kw.. In stock form the sprint (in its day) was a real weapon... With the extra go it had a close ratio manual box and different diff ratio and drive like it was on rails....
