We bought a new Mazda SP25 about 6 months ago and through the dealer ( I know paid too much) we had the Diamond paint protection pack done.
Pretty happy with it so far, just hose off dirt and chamois, unless it's really bad of course, then some suds.

Opticoat-Pro - 3 years ago, amazing results and the car still a shine better than most new cars.

I have been using CarPro Hyrdo2 Lite on my Mustang since new.
Mist on to a clean wet car and rinse off with a pressure washer a panel at a time.
Job done for 2-3 months.
Plenty of Youtube videos to show you application and results.
$30.00 for a litre will last you 1-2 years for a car.

I discussed this with the authorised bmw repairer in Malaga WA, and they recommended to not waste the effort and money on any paint protection. Normal wash and waxing was the only thing they were doing with all their own vehicles.

The dealer themselves of course highly recommend paint protection... money maker for the dealership

Same here.

Last 3 cars Opticoated from new.

I don't know that one ceramic coating is better than another but imo is worth every cent.

I had my Mondeo coated with Ceramic Pro, done by Diamond Paint Protection. Cost about $700, from memory, to coat the exterior panels only.

Excellent, expert service. Highly recommended.

A few years ago I spoke to the Quality Control Manager at Broadmeadows and he said the same thing. Back when we were producing locally built cars he believed the paint finish was such that the money spent on paint protection was not valued added in his opinion.

Dealer Paint protection IS a waste of money.

The good aftermarket stuff isn’t.

I used Body Armour 9H. Couldn't be happier

Found the guy on the NSW Mustang Owners FB page which i joined when i bought my Mustang. Virtually every NSW member has used this guy to paint protect their cars

The chap is Frank Unlukaplan and his business is Bright Shine Detailing
