Anyone here have an LG smart TV?
I've been thinking about getting one of these, primarily because I've been told that the smart tv interface is far superior to any other brand on the market and my experience with the interface on our Bauhn tv drives me mad, to the point that I'm just not interested in using it. For those who aren't aware, the LG uses a Nintendo Wi style interface, where you just point the remote at whatever button you want to press and then press a button on the remote to select it. As opposed to the remote on the Bauhn tv where you have to move the cursor on the screen around using corresponding direction buttons on the remote and then select the on screen button with another button on the remote.. Anyway, what I'm really interested in getting this tv for is to watch the Supercars. I want to do this through a live stream feed (eg motorsport-eu.cf:8080). But, the LG tv uses a proprietary OS, and can't access VLC, which is what I use on my phone or laptop to watch the stream through. Using chat on the LG site, they have confirmed that VLC is not available. But I want to know if there is another streaming app that is available on the lG OS, and if so, is it able to stream the above feed? If you've got an LG tv, could I ask a few favours to see if we can get the above stream link to work? I don't want to shell out $$$ to find it doesn't work. Appreciate any assistance anyone can offer. Cheers.
