Hi - tks for sending me that new silver prestige facia the other week. Looks great in the centre console. Thing is I am hoping you can help me with a little problem. my colour screen is not working at all (blank and dark) but radio and AC and other buttons are all working. We used my original BEM and six stacker in the swap from my orig monochrome small screen to the larger colour screen prestige version. I took it to Ford this week as thought they just need to 'recode' but they say they could not access the BEM as their recode program was rejected by my car. They said because the car is tuned the car is rejecting their attempts to access the BEM. Am puzzled what to do next as really like the silver facia look now! Will return tune to stock as a start, but should I also use the 'donor' six stacker in my unit? Is it mated to the colour screen?
Sorry for long post, hope you can give me a clue as to what to do next. Tks Johnb

The cd players from the mono and colour screens are different. Try using the colour screen 6 stacker, if it powers up it will show "security code" on the screen. press and hold the MENU and FM buttons and it will allow you to test it for 5 minutes

Tks for the advice. What do you mean allow to test for 5 minutes, what happens then. Pls excuse my ignorance but this is all new and a mystery to me.

it bypasses the security code for 5 minutes, so you can test out the unit. after that it goes back to displaying "security code error"

That's why if your car has been tuned it's always good to have the flash tune box or what ever was used to tune your car. When the error screen pops up it will disappear an reset once you turn it to start. I just hooked up my sound system new head unit amp sub etc. Now to upgrade the speakers and tweeters next week an maybe replace my 8' factory sub with a 8' mid range . Hope you find the help you need

Well changed the stacker today with the one that came with the colour screen. All came to life, all good now. Mine was labelled as a 'Mid' range one and the replacement was 'High End'. So thanks for the advice.

f the ford dealerships they are so expensive have the highest quality quipment that mechanics are not allowed to get but have no clue how to use it or what it’s capable of doing they’ll replace every component that reports issues and the cost is more than my car then I’ll pay them for the report and to try wash ur car so I took it for a second opinion and 8th of the price runs like new I’ll never use ford again unless a machanic tells me it’s impossible for them to achieve something without a “wds” and hope u find the best ford machanic in Australia, or I have a ford still under warranty! Ok I installed the icc dual zone, I could operate the radio for 5mins to test (befor security code came back on) by holding am and menu at the same time, nothing on the climate control worked, it all needed programming, I found someone who dose this work. Cheap! Cheap few thing need programming and a full dual zone conversion heater box ect $500 as an option, I’m still running it as a single zone
save ur self money don’t go ford if u live in melb his near coldarpark race way. 0407785950 Tell him to give you the Bill treatment hope this helps Last edited by Bigredbf; 11-12-2019 at 08:44 AM. |

Can anyone get me a wiring diagram for the left hand mirror “ambient sensor” please
I’m sure it wouldn’t need a full wiring harness but I need to look into it thanks |
