We have a 2017 Mondeo and it's getting really annoying having to disable this feature every time we use the car.
It's a base model with no options so it wasn't a choice to have it or not from factory. I have reprogrammed BCMs before but haven't tried anything with the Mondeo yet so wondering if anyone else has done anything yet. Is it an option on Ford IDS? Cheers |

No they don't...
But in all honesty it's not too hard to switch off the button as you pull the lever to R or D...

Does that mean that it is possible to disable it?
Cheers Mark

Drive the car with the transmission in "sport" mode.
This disables the auto stop/start. |

On the few occasions I've forgotten to do do this, and she stops at the lights, it's not really a problem for me. She gets going quick enough. Have noticed that half the cars beside me (at the lights) do the same, regardless of petrol or diesel. ahhhh, emission control. |

On our Subaru you don’t even need to turn it off, just hold the brakes lightly at red lights and you won’t turn off. After a while you get used to where the sweet spot is and can do it at will.

From my experience, MD Mondeo (diesel) auto is either in gear or not, with regard to brake pedal position. |
